OUR STORY
Our Story
In response to a recognized community need for shelter and programming for unwed young women facing crisis pregnancies, the shelter then known as Mother’s Care Home opened its doors in 1993, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Bethel College, the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Saint Joseph Community Hospital and the Women’s Care Center.
Our Misson
At Hannah's House, a maternity home, we respect life, share love, and inspire hope by modeling Christian values for pregnant and parenting women facing homelessness and poverty.
Our Vision
Believing in the sanctity of life, we will serve Jesus Christ by providing a home for teens, women, and their unborn/newborn children where:
-
they are safe and secure
-
a multi-faceted program challenges them to reach their highest potential
-
healthy lifestyles and family values are encouraged, modeled, and practiced
-
development of self-esteem will empower them to make positive choices
-
new mothers receive support that enables them to sustain a new life
-
the community is enlisted to embrace and enhance this ministry with an abundance of resources
