The Killilea Home

What We Offer at Killilea Home

A Bridge to Independence
As the second phase of our program, the Killilea Home represents a pivotal step towards independence and self-reliance. Here, residents have the opportunity to transition from the structured environment of Leep to a more autonomous lifestyle, while still benefiting from the guidance and support of the Hannah's House staff.

Privileges through Achievement

Entry into the Killilea Home is a privilege earned through dedication, perseverance, and achievement. Residents must demonstrate their commitment to personal and professional development by completing required classes, providing attentive care to their newborns, and either securing employment or pursuing further education. Childcare responsibilities are also emphasized, ensuring that residents are equipped to balance the demands of parenthood with their own personal aspirations.

Promoting Independence
At Killilea, residents are encouraged to embrace independence and take ownership of their lives. While limited guidance and assistance are available, residents are expected to take responsibility for their daily routines and decision-making processes. Maintaining engagement in work or school is paramount, as is ensuring reliable childcare arrangements. Regular meetings with staff provide ongoing support and guidance, fostering accountability and personal growth.

Community Integration
While residing at Killilea, residents have the opportunity to engage with the broader community and participate in selected activities at the Leep Home. Positive relationships cultivated during their time at Leep are encouraged to flourish, providing a network of support and encouragement as residents navigate this transitional phase.

Empowering Through Knowledge and Confidence
Hannah's House is committed to empowering women to enrich their lives with knowledge, confidence, and self-assurance. The Killilea Home serves as a vital bridge between structured support and independent living, equipping residents with the skills and resilience needed to thrive as they embrace the responsibilities of motherhood and pursue their dreams for the future.
Hannah's House empowers pregnant women by providing comprehensive support and resources, enabling them to begin a journey of life transformation.
